Petroleum Exploration in East Africa

East Africa is the world's most exciting frontier exploration region. It is set to become an alternative and substantial contributor to global energy reserves.

Company & Management Team

Adamantine Energy is a private Company registered in BVI in late 2010 with its technical and regional headquarters in Nairobi, functional offices in Canada and England and with representation in key East African Capitals.

The Company is managed by 4 Directors with considerable E&P experience, in particular Chris Matchette-Downes co-founder of East African Exploration / Black Marlin Energy which became Afren plc. East Africa has been dismissed by many and is still poorly understood due to the lack of well penetration. Early gas discoveries by AGIP were not commercial. Recently BG Group with Ophir and separately Anadarko has recently recorded back to back multiple TCF successes in Tanzania and Mozambique respectively with more to come. Hardman and Heritage discovered considerable quantities of oil in the Albertine Graben which will be commercialised by Tullow and its future partners.

The shareholder-base of Adamantine is composed of 20 Oil and Gas professionals with backgrounds in engineering, geology, investment banking and finance. In addition, several of the shareholders have high level connections at the government level of a number of East African countries, notably Kenya and Uganda. Moreover, the shareholder base has individually built successful independent oil companies over a number of years.

Chris Matchette-Downes has over 12 years experience reviewing and researching East African petroleum geology and with the directors, its G&G Advisors and strategic investors/shareholders is pursing applications for 11 blocks (58,000Km2) and is researching several further high graded, selected opportunities.

Adamantine Energy has several strategic and unique service provider alliances and access and understanding of a vast oils data base and concept-changing petroleum geochemistry data, ideas and interpretations.

Adamantine Energy is about real ideas, real science, and real opportunities and is ahead of the curve as was EAX.
